Meet Kate Snewin

Pronouns:  she / they

Kate is a Compassion Focused therapist with more than 15 years of experience working with children, young people and adults;  she has supported many people at different stages of their lives.  Kate understands that coming to see someone for therapy can be something that takes a lot of courage;  this is part of your compassionate self that can be really helpful to build on in therapy.  Kate believes that therapy is most helpful when it is tailored to the individual and that different things might be required at different times.  Kate is flexible and adapts her approach so that people feel seen and heard for themselves.

Kate has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Compassion Focused Therapy at the University of Derby, studying with Prof. Paul Gilbert and others leading in CFT.  Kate is committed to expanding her skills and regularly attends training to develop her practice.  Kate also utilises Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) in her practice, which can be really helpful with a range of difficulties, including trauma, anxiety and phobias.  Kate adopts a creative approach when needed and understands that sometimes speaking can be tricky and at those times finding an alternative route can be helpful.

Kate is based in the UK and offers therapy through Cliniko, a safe online platform. Kate is currently accepting new clients. Please email contact@iccft.com to make an enquiry about working with Kate.
